A rare Austrian
bronze table lamp.
Featuring
a larger scale dog in a sitting position.
We have no particular
expertise with breeds of dogs other than the popular ones. We did a lot of
research and never were a hundred percent sure. So we leave it to the experts
to define the dog. Any help is appreciated.
The detail
of the sculpture is truly exceptional and the work of a great sculptor.
Unfortunately it is not signed.
We are not
sure whether the lampshade that came with it is the original and suggest
replacing it with a larger and more attractive one. The lamp still comes with a
European plug and we suggest rewiring for safety reasons.

3/8” (24 cm) tall without the bulb and 4 3/4 “ (12 cm) across.

CONDITION:
|
Good with
a nice old patina, no restoration, no repairs, no touch
ups! Please do not forget
that you are buying a used item that always may show some traces of wear!
There is a hole drilled in the back of the dog’s head and we do not have an
explanation what it has to do with the wiring. It is not distracting.
