Vienna Bronze Gallery presents
An oustanding Art
Nouveau chandelier from Vienna/Austria.
It is a good example of the applied arts that evolved from the influence of the
Secessionists, an extremely fruitful period. The glass parts are frosted. The
shades are original.
This great piece was the center part of our living room when we lived in Vienna.
Now, after having remodeled our house here, it unfortunately does not fit
anymore in our new style and the beautiful chandelier is looking for a new good
home instead of waiting in a storage.
After we purchased it in
the early 1980s it became completely restored and rewired. The lamp is in
perfect working condition. - We paid about $ 2,500 for it 30 years ago and ask
for a fraction of it. In perfect working
condition, also for 110 V. By the way, the globe in
the middle works, of course, too; however we did not turn it on. The
photos would have become too bright.
DIMENSIONS:
|
The total height with straight
chains is c. 34 1/4 " (87 cm)
The diameter of the brass body measures 14 3/4 " (40 cm)
The dimensions of the center glass bowl: 5 1/2 " (14 cm) high and 8 7/8
" (22 cm) across
The three lamps shades are 7 1/8 " (18 cm) long

CONDITION:
|
Good. No repairs, bends, dents,
dings or whatsoever, unless specified. There is one flaw that you can see
only when you unscrew one of the frosted glass shades. A part of the top
where the opening is chipped, but you don't see it when it is assembled and
perfectly covered by the brass ring holding it. Please do not forget that you
are buying a used item that always may show some wear!
